Coronavirus Information

Updated: March 9, 2020

The safety of our guests and our staff is of utmost importance. We work closely with authorities on all of our safety measures and follow their direction on any necessary steps.

In addition to our normal daily cleaning practices, DECC staff has:

  • Increased cleaning protocols, including more frequent wiping and disinfecting of touch points (door handles, elevator buttons, handrails, restroom stall doors and sinks)
  • Supplied hand sanitizer stations throughout the DECC
  • Reinforced our standard employee health practices, including sending employees home and/or encouraging them to stay home if sick or demonstrating symptoms

In addition, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) does not recommend canceling or postponing travel to any destination in the United States.

The Minnesota Department of Health is leading the state and city preparedness and information dissemination.

The Duluth Entertainment Convention Center is monitoring and assessing any new developments and will provide updates if or when new information becomes available.

We encourage visitors to follow the guidance of the CDC for everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses.

To ensure you are reading the most accurate and up-to-date news regarding the Coronavirus, follow the CDC’s updates on or their social channels (Facebook, TwitterInstagramYouTube).
