COVID protocols at the DECC

In an effort to be COVID conscious, the DECC works with St. Louis County Department of Health to maintain high safety standards in our facility.

Masks are now optional at the DECC for both guests and staff.

However, event organizers of events set their own masking/ vaccination policies within the spaces in which their event is held. When an event organizer requests it, guests and staff will be required to wear masks at those events. 

Our facility Covid protocols include:

  • Upgraded HVAC protocols that cycle in outside air multiple times per hour
  • Installation of MERV 13 air filters to remove particles that are 1-3 microns in size
  • High-touch cleaning protocols
  • All DECC employees are required to be masked indoors
  • Hand sanitization stations throughout campus
  • COVID rapid testing and PCR saliva testing available onsite for public and employees
  • Custom protocols tailored to each event, ranging from masking to proof of vaccination/negative test within an allotted time period
  • Ability to set large room spaces and exhibit halls with social distancing protocols to suit each event
  • Hands-free ticket scanning

We will continue to maintain these protocols and seek out the latest safety practices throughout this pandemic
