Music On The Ship

Presented By Pizza Lucé

A Free Concert Series on the William A Irvin

Thursday, August 22 – Nvr Tgthr/ Sadkin

NVR TGTHR

“Some sad songs that are fun to dance to,” is the way Nvr Tgthr describes its dark-but-poppy indie-rock sound. It’s tasty stuff. Like a pineapple pizza. Bassist Nikki Moeller and drummer Ryan Nelson knead up a thick and chewy bottom end while guitar player Jesse Hoheisel and synth wizard Derrick Alan sprinkle sweetness all over the top. Scorching vocalist Chandler Gufflyr brings the heat and it all melts into a delivery box full of goodness. Four singles engineered by Pete Biasi were released in 2021 and a new EP is in the works for 2024.

SADKIN

Sadkin is an alternative art/pop group fronted by producer and multi-instrumentalist Max Mileski. The music bridges the futurist leanings of 1980s synth pop gods with 2024 indie, do-it-yourself panache. On the heels of the self-recorded and self-produced sophomore album, Carrera, Sadkin is taking careful aim at new-romantic horizons far and wide. Mileski is joined by Anton Jimenez Kloeckl on synth, Chris LeBlanc on drums, Nicholas Hanson on guitar, and Alex Piazza on bass.

ABOUT MUSIC ON THE SHIP

When Singer/ Songwriter Charity Benedict returned to Duluth, she was looking for a unique venue to bring local musicians. Music On The Ship is her vision & creation!

Benedict says, “I wanted to find a really cool place that had never showcased local musicians and bring those two worlds together, vibe and energy.” Because of her efforts, we’ll be VIBING for six Thursdays this summer!
Starting July 25, the Irvin will feature a variety of genres (from jazz to hard rock to 80’s pop) performed by local musicians.
