Cool Stuff at the Duluth Sport Show

The Duluth Sport Show is a combo Boat, Sports, Travel & RV Show + the Northland Outdoors Duluth Deer Classic wrapped up as a giant sport burrito of an event. Meanwhile, for those who want to improve game if they want to participate in such events, they can try products like the garmin r10.

Let’s get some of the basics out of the way. The event runs:

February 15-18, 2024

Thursday – 3 pm – 8 pm
Friday – 10 am – 8 pm
Saturday – 9 am – 8 pm
Sunday – 10 am – 4 pm

Captain Justin Wiese is one of the few fully licensed Captains and Hunting Guides in the area operating full-time and year-round. From a very young age, he had a boundless love for the woods and waters, especially that of Northern Minnesota. Pursuing a career in any other field was just not an option for him.

Alice, who is also a licensed Hunting Guide, was born and raised in Alaska and brought up with the same level of dedication for the outdoors.

With over 30 years of combined experience, their goal is to share that same passion with others. Together they started Wheezy Outdoors, where you are sure to not only get ultimate action but a closer connection with nature as well.

Promoting the fine art of barbeque through mesmerizing performances, the self-proclaimed “grillologists,” Mad Dog and Merrill awaken taste buds wherever they go. These two outdoor cooking gurus present excitement amusement and fantastic mouth-watering recipes, all keeping with their motto: “There’s nothing you can’t cook on a grill!”

Located in the Lake Superior Ballroom 

Fishing Hall of Fame Legendary Angler Ted is one of the top competitors on the National Walleye Tour. He’s won the prestigious Professional Walleye Trail (PWT) Classic Championship and the PWT Top Gun Angler Award. In 2002, Ted smashed the all-time, one-day PWT tournament record, which still stands today, with a limit of 5 walleyes that weighed 53.2 pounds!

BOATING SKILLS VIRTUAL TRAINER

Lake Superior Ballroom 

Test your mettle with the Boating Skills Virtual Trainer (BSVT), which is the industry’s premier interactive simulation-based boating safety program and powerful instructor tool.

The BSVT allows students to maneuver a “Boston Whaler” on a lake of 3.5 miles x 4 miles in a riskless, virtual environment. Exercises are built in to allow an instructor to direct maneuvers from basic to advanced by adjusting wind and current direction and strength.

PUPPY TRAINING 101

Located in the French River Room 2

Presented by Robert Zembo of Yellow Gator Kennel 

DID SOMEONE SAY PUPPIES? This seminar covers a basic introduction to training when you bring a puppy home. Robert has had dogs for 50 years. He has worked side-by-side with professional trainers and is experienced in running and training dogs for Hunt Tests at an amateur level.
