Who is Gucci Mane bringing to AMSOIL

Gucci Mane – one of the MOST influential underground rappers of the past decade – is coming to AMSOIL Arena in Duluth on  April 19. Yeah, we’re pretty excited, too.

He has more Top 10 Rap Albums & and more Top 20 Rap Singles on the Billboard charts than any other hip-hop artist in history. Some of his best-known hits:

  • Lemonade
  • Wasted
  • Both.

But did you know who he’s bringing with him?

PROF

Prof is from Minneapolis (Powderhorn Park, to be exact) and performed at the Dinkytowner bar growing up. That’s where his future manager found him, and the two later went in on a studio in Northeast, Minneapolis. He’s gone on to have hits like Squad Goals and Bar Breaker. Plus many amusing videos.

It’s been noted that Prof is one of the few Minneapolis rap acts capable of selling out the city’s famed First Avenue Mainroom. City Pages named Prof as Minnesota’s 19th-best rapper in 2012, citing his musical dexterity, “his impressive singing voice,” and his ability to engage and make audiences laugh.

And when Busta Rhymes failed to show up at the Soundset Music Festival in Shakopee, Minnesota, Prof substituted for him with only an hour’s notice.

If you want to like him more, here is Prof pond skating and having the best time.

DJ Sophia Eris

As a world-traveling “military brat,” Sophia Eris had many musical influences growing up. Somehow, that all has led to the impressive and enviable title of  “Touring DJ” for Lizzo. The pair have performed on the Late Night Show for Stephen Colbert and slayed internationally at Glastonbury, Wireless Fest, Bonnaroo, SXSW, and more.

As a solo artist, Eris represents her crew GRRRLPRTY, and had collaborated with the legendary late great Prince. Her most popular songs are

  • Feel The Burn
  • Who’s Got The Boom
  • All Night

This is a lineup you won’t want to miss.
