Know Before You Go: Duluth Sports Show

What is it, exactly?

The Duluth Sport Show is a combination of the Duluth Boat, Sports, Travel & RV Show + the Northland Outdoors Duluth Deer Classic all wrapped up into one mega sports event! It has rooms full of vendors which may sell equipment like a bow case, rigs, seminars, food, a mechanical bull and – a squirrel?

Entrances to the show are via the City Side Door B and also a ticketed entrance from the Skywalk.

Accessible parking is available on the 3rd floor of the parking ramp where the Skywalk entrance is located.  Be careful to not take the Skywalk over to AMSOIL. The DECC Skyway entrance is located on the opposite side.

Some of what’s inside…

What time is that thing? (Or Seminars & Features)

There are so many opportunities to learn at the Duluth Sport Show. There’s everything from Lowrance Marine Electronics University to The Cost of Living on the Road (By Freedom In a Can) to Fishing talks like, Jigging Secrets of the Pros.

And, this is also where you can find all the kids’ fun, too. There are kids’ fishing seminars, face painting, and more!

The Food is Fantastic

There are people who come to the Sports Show because they’ve been thinking all year about Chef Jerry’s  Roast Beef Sandwichs –roasted on-site & sliced in front of you. And last go-round, he upped the game by adding a housemade Pastrami Sandwich, too. It’s back, too.

This Beef & Beer area is located in the Lake Superior Ballroom upstairs.

But there’s stuff to each throughout the expo. In the Fitzgerald room is a concessions area with Made-to-Order Chicken Fajitas and Pasta. Pioneer Hall has a variety of concessions, including our beloved Little Dippers, grilled cheese with tomato soup.

Seriously, a Water Skiing Squirrel?

Yes, Twiggy, the Water Skiing Squirrel is back!  And this year he even brought merch?!  He’s also offering a “Meet & Greet” for 5 bucks!

You can see him on:

Saturday 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM, 5:00 PM, 7:00 PM
