It’s a magical shopping and family experience inspired by outdoor European Markets. Think pleasant hustle & bustle meets Northern woods charm to make holiday shopping an experience all in itself. There are 26 wooden cabins decked with winter greens & filled with ONLY regional goods. In fact, there are over 50 local vendors with items for stockings and bellies! And by bellies, we mean all kinds of tasty food. Come hungry! There are also 5 bonfires, animals to pet and free ice skating. Quick Video Here courtesy of Story North Productions Getting the most out of Duluth Winter Village: Dress to be outside (mostly) The cabins, animals, Stoked firewood bonfires, and a beverage bar are located alongside the harbor behind the DECC. The event stretches all the way to our festive red freighter – the William A. Irvin. This is the dress warmly part of the Winter Village. But don’t fret, there are many ways to warm up! 5 bonfires to rub your hands over Warm beverages are available, both outside & in Get a little cardio going with our free ice skating inside the DECC Arena And — there’s an INSIDE with hot food & more vendors! There is also parking across the Minnesota Slip Bridge (the Blue Bridge) in Canal Park, and also Downtown with skyway walking to the festival. Directions DECC Parking Nearby Parking BYO – Large Bag After doing this for a few years, we know that bringing your own large bag is gold. While vendors will have sacks for their wares, it’s really convenient to have a large bag from home to tote all your purchases around – making it easier to eat a grilled cheese or sip a Bloody Merry. Off-Peak Hours Looking for a little more elbow room? Come Sunday and/or late afternoons of either day. Things are a little quieter on the second day and as it gets nearer to the 5 PM close time. This sets you up perfectly to walk to Bentleyville Tour of Lights when it opens at 5:00 PM. Other times to note: Mayor Emily Larson will give her welcome toast on Saturday at 9:30am The Choralaires in their beautiful costumes will be singing carols on Saturday from Noon to 1:00pm Family / Friends Photo Ops Make sure there’s space in your camera for a family/friend photo at the Photo Backdrop, sponsored this year by Flora North.
