Wellness Coordinator Intern

Job Summary
Wellness-oriented individual to help us revitalize our Employee Wellness Program at the DECC. A strong candidate is a self-starter that would enjoy creating, implementing, and supporting wellness efforts. This positions is usually a great fit for a college student in need of an internship for credits or to meet a requirement.

Flexible, based on the candidate availability. 10-25 hours per week on average.

  • Maintain and design DECC wellness website using WordPress
  • Assist with DECC wellness social media accounts
  • Help plan wellness events
  • Maintain spaces: employee gym, lounges, workout class locations
  • Create and design signage
  • Create communications
  • Design surveys
  • Create and distribute monthly wellness newsletters
  • Data entry and participation tracking
  • Assist in managing prizes and incentives
  • Design and implement employee wellness challengers
  • Market internally to employees
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Actively enrolled in an internship program through a higher education institution

Additional eligibility requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Successful completion of reference checks
  • Successful completion of a background check

At-Will Internship
This position is at will. This means if you are offered the internship and accept, your status with the DECC is for the duration of the internship and it is subject to termination by you or the DECC, with or without cause, with or without notice, and at any time. Please note, if status is revoked before the duration of your internship, you will not be eligible for academic credit.
