DECC Employee of the Month: Nancy Fellbaum

July Employee of the Month

Nancy Fellbaum, Ticket Office

Nancy has been a part of the DECC for almost 30 years. She is a Ticket Seller and says she loves her boss to the moon & back. Nancy jokes that she pays the DECC to work because it’s laid back and stress-free.

When Nancy isn’t selling tickets, she enjoys gardening and reading. She is crazy about horses and once owned two ¾ Arabians named Bojangles and Siriah. She also enjoys traveling and has visited Alaska, Mexico, Hawaii, Germany, and most of the southern states.

Nancy said she feels lucky to be looked at as a valued employee.

The DECC appreciates your years of service, Nancy. Congratulations!

Reason for Nomination:
“Nancy has been working at the DECC since 1990.  She has been a staple in the Ticket Office for the past 29 years.  Nancy told me that the best part of her job has always been the flexibility in schedule, working with the public and mostly all the DECC employees she works with on a daily basis.  When Nancy is not working, she is busy with 10 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.

Her proudest moments at the DECC was convincing Dan Russell to get Celtic Thunder and the Texas Tenors….which proved to be two very successful shows.  Besides these two shows her favorite shows over the years were Les Misérables and Alabama’s 25th Anniversary concert in DECC Arena.  Nancy will be retiring this year and moving to the Cities to be closer to a few of those grandkids.  We will miss her very much and wish her all the best.” – Debbie Aleff, Director of Ticketing
