2023 Bayfront Vendor Application

Thank you for your interest in joining the festivities at Bayfront Festival Park this summer!

 

The application for vendors is open through Wednesday, May 31. The application located is at the bottom of this page.

Vendors will be selected and confirmed by June 1.

Once vendors have been selected, more event details will be provided with vendor fee payments due by June 15.

 

The DECC is pleased to partner with Duluth Loves Local to curate this summer’s food + craft vendor lineup at the following concerts: 

 

Friday, June 23, 2023 

Twin Ports Entertainment Presents Jon Pardi | 5PM Gates | 6,500 ppl est. 

From the host of Country Jam, TPE presents this “Pardi in the Park” featuring  Jon Pardi.

 

Saturday, June 24, 2023 

First Avenue Presents Hippo Campus | 5PM Gates | 4,000 ppl est. 

Dubbed as their “homecoming show” from the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Tennessee, Minnesota indie rockers Hippo Campus will headline the Bayfront stage along with Miloe and papa mbye. 

 

Friday, June 30, 2023 

Twin Ports Entertainment Presents Flo Rida | 4:30PM Gates | 6,000 ppl est. 

Hip-hop icon Flo Rida will take to the Bayfront stage along with Twista, celebrating 50 years of Hip Hop in America.  

 

Monday, July 3, 2023 

DECC Presents Hairball | 3:00PM Gates | 7,500 ppl est. 

It’s like 20 concerts in one night. This classic rock tribute band pulls out all the stops, with pyrotechnics and epic hair.  

 

Tuesday, July 4, 2023  

DECC Presents City of Duluth Fourth Fest | 4:00PM Gates | 10,000 ppl est. 

The Upper Midwest’s Largest Fireworks Display, Fourth Fest will feature regional Americana music – from alt country, bluegrass and folk – including an Air Force flyover and the singing of the National Anthem. 

 

Saturday, July 8, 2023 

First Avenue Presents Trampled by Turtles with Jenny Lewis | 4:30PM Gates | 9,500 ppl est.  

Celebrating their 20th anniversary as a band, TBT will join the Bayfront stage 10 years after their first debut in the park with Atmosphere. Expect a perfect Duluth day. 

 

Vendor Information

Craft Vendors – Note that you are still liable for paying MN State Sales Tax and Duluth Tourism Tax if selling goods at City Parks. Any consumable items must be pre-packaged and made in a commercial kitchen. Items/consumable goods containing THC are not allowed to be sold in Bayfront Festival Park. 

Food Vendors – Note that all mobile food trucks/carts must have a license from the State of Minnesota and the City of Duluth. You may also be subject to inspection from the Health Inspector on the day of the event. Be prepared to show proof of all licenses if selected to vend in the park, including the following: 

  • A copy of the most recent regulatory/licensing inspection, including documentation that any violations noted on the inspection have been corrected/addressed 
  • A current food service license from a local jurisdiction (City of Duluth, St.Louis County, Minnesota Health Department, etc.) 
  • A copy of the business license 

Commercial General Liability insurance including coverage for bodily injury and property damage with limits not less than $1,000,000 each occurrence and $3,000,000 annual aggregate. 

  • Automobile Liability insurance with a minimum limit of not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence Combined Single Limit for Bodily Injury and Property Damage, including coverage for owned, hired or non-owned vehicles, as applicable. 
  • Workers’ Compensation insurance as required by statute and Employers Liability insurance with limits not less than $1,000,000 each accident, $1,000,000 disease – each employee, $1,000,000 disease – policy limit. 
  • “The City of Duluth,” “The Duluth Entertainment Convention Center,” “Duluth Economic Development Authority,” and “Lake Superior Center Authority” must be included as Additional Insured for General Liability and Automobile Liability.
